The Middle Atlantic UFA-8 is a 1-rack-unit device mounting shelf with an 8-inch depth and universal face-after design that accepts a faceplate covering even after the shelf is installed and populated with equipment. It attaches to the front or rear of standard 19-inch equipment racks and supports up to 35 lb. Pre-cut holes and slots provide cable management and device mounting positions with integrated tie-down points.
Product Description
The UFA-8 device mounting rackshelf from Middle Atlantic Products is a 1RU shelf designed for houses of worship, concert venues, recording facilities, and AV installations where cables and small devices need organized mounting in a standard 19-inch rack. The universal face-after design is a notable feature: a faceplate can be installed over the shelf to provide a clean appearance even after the shelf has been populated with devices and cables, without requiring removal or reinstallation of the shelf or its contents. This makes the UFA-8 practical for installations where the rack face must present a finished appearance. The shelf attaches at either the front or rear of the rack, providing flexibility in how it is used within the rack depth. Pre-cut holes and slots are positioned for cable management and small device attachment, and tie-down points allow cables and components to be secured against movement. At 8-inch depth and 35 lb capacity, the UFA-8 bridges the gap between the shallower UMS1-5.5 (5.5 inches) and deeper utility shelf options.
