The Middle Atlantic U1V is a 1-rack-unit vented utility rackshelf with a 10.4-inch depth, designed for mounting small devices and non-rack-mountable components in standard 19-inch racks. The fully vented bottom and side areas dissipate heat from components placed on the shelf, and three adjustable brackets are included to prevent components from sliding backward. Steel construction supports up to 35 lb with a black powder coat finish.

Product Description

The U1V vented utility rackshelf from Middle Atlantic Products is a 1RU shelf designed for houses of worship, concert venues, recording facilities, and general AV installations where small or non-rack-mountable components need a secure position in the rack. The fully vented bottom and side construction allows heat to dissipate more effectively than a solid-bottom shelf, which is important when shelving components that generate heat, such as cable boxes or media players. Three adjustable brackets are included and can be positioned to prevent components from sliding backward in transport or installation conditions. Optional clamping bars can be added to secure components from above. The U1V can also mount the PD-815SC-PBSH power strip on the rear of the shelf if additional rack space is available behind the shelf. At 16-gauge steel with 35 lb capacity, this shelf is suitable for most small to medium AV components. The product is GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality and complies with RoHS and EU 2002/95/EC directives.
