Product Description
The TFP2 Textured Fan Panel from Middle Atlantic Products is a 3-rack-space (3U) aluminum panel designed to hold two 4-1/2-inch fans in a standard 19-inch rack enclosure. Fan panels serve a critical role in thermally managing rack systems by providing active airflow through the rack, drawing cool air in or exhausting warm air out depending on fan orientation and rack configuration. The TFP2 occupies 3 rack spaces at 5-1/4 inches of panel height and is made from 16-gauge flanged aluminum, providing structural integrity for the fan cutouts and mounting. The black textured powder coat finish matches Middle Atlantic rack enclosures that use a textured black finish, differentiating it from the anodized aluminum finish found on the FP series fan panels. Fans are not included with the panel; any standard 4-1/2-inch fan can be installed. Installing two fans in this panel provides balanced airflow at the fan panel location. The TFP2 is appropriate for standard open rack, rack enclosure, and furniture rack applications that require active ventilation.
