Where the standard Middle Atlantic SS sliding shelf uses a bare steel work surface, the SSL adds an attractive black laminate shelf that suits credenzas, podiums, and other furniture-integrated AV racks where the shelf stays in view. The laminate surface gives mixers, laptops, control surfaces, and small source components a clean resting place that complements finished millwork and presentation environments.

Functionally, the SSL occupies just one rackspace and rides on nylon roller slides that extend 11-3/8 inches beyond the rack face. Positive-stop lockouts hold the shelf in its extended position so technicians can adjust equipment or connect cabling without the shelf drifting back into the enclosure.
