The SF2 is the 2-space version in Middle Atlantic's SF (fine perforation) security cover series. Like the SF3, it uses a tighter perforation pattern that provides a more secure barrier compared to standard large-perforation S-series covers, while still allowing airflow and LED status viewing. The 2-space form factor makes it appropriate for covering a single 2-space equipment component such as a small amplifier, media player, or signal processor. The 1-inch deep metal construction creates a barrier that resists casual tampering, and the installed rubber edging prevents scratching equipment front panel finishes during installation and removal. When installed using Middle Atlantic's Guardian Series HSK security rack screws, the SF2 requires the proprietary Guardian Series driver bit for removal, creating a significant deterrent against unauthorized access.
