Middle Atlantic cuts the textured black powder-coated steel faceplate to the exact component you specify, so the device sits behind a fitted opening instead of an open gap. At 14" deep, this standard-width model is sized for shallow equipment racks, furniture enclosures, and compact wall-mounted cabinets.

The RSH4S4M is Middle Atlantic's answer for these devices: a custom rackmount shelf whose faceplate is laser-cut at the factory to match the chassis you name at order time. The company maintains a measurement database of more than 8,000 components, so most current and legacy AV gear can be matched without sending in dimensions.

The 14" shelf depth (M depth code) is the practical choice when rear clearance is tight, leaving room behind the device for power and signal connections in shallow racks. If your component runs deeper, the same shelf is offered in 15.5", 17.5", and 20.5" depths within the RSH4S series; if it runs wider than the standard cutout area, choose the wide-format RSH4S4MW.

Ventilation slots in the shelf bottom help dissipate heat from the mounted component, and the included rear brackets lock the device in place so it cannot creep backward out of the enclosure.
