The Middle Atlantic RSH4S3XXW is a custom 3U rack shelf in wide format with a 20.5" shelf depth, the deepest offering in the RSH4S line. Its steel faceplate carries a textured black powder-coat finish and is custom cut at the factory to the specific component you plan to mount, producing a fitted, gap-free rack installation. It mounts non-rackmount equipment in a standard 19" enclosure without altering the component's features or electrical characteristics.

Product Description

Full-size consumer electronics are the hardest devices to rack neatly: AV receivers, disc players, and large-chassis processors are both wider and deeper than typical rack shelves allow. The RSH4S3XXW is built for exactly this class of equipment. The wide-format faceplate accepts chassis that will not fit the standard-width RSH4S cutout area, and the 20.5" depth (Middle Atlantic's XX depth code) supports full-depth components from front panel to rear connections.

Like every shelf in this custom rackshelf series, the 3U faceplate is cut to order. You specify the component, Middle Atlantic references its measurement database of more than 8,000 devices, and the shelf arrives with an opening trimmed precisely to your gear. Nothing about the mounted device is modified — no removed feet, no drilled chassis, no changes to its electrical behavior.

The shelf installs in any EIA-standard 19" rack or enclosure, and the series' ventilated bottom design helps manage heat from larger components such as receivers and amplified sources. With a 3U faceplate height, it conserves rack space relative to the 4U models while still clearing most full-size consumer chassis.
