Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic RSH4S2S is the shallowest standard-width shelf in the RSH4S custom 2U rackshelf series, with an 11.5" depth suited to compact devices and tight enclosures. Middle Atlantic custom cuts its textured black powder-coat steel face plate to the front profile of the equipment you specify at order time. That makes it a purpose-built mount for small-format gear such as modems, set-top devices, compact switches, and control modules. It conforms to the EIA 19" rack standard for installation in any compliant rack or cabinet.
Product Description
Small devices are disproportionately troublesome in racks: they slide on generic trays, their indicator lights end up hidden, and their wall-wart power supplies pull them out of position. The RSH4S2S resolves this by holding the component behind a custom-cut faceplate opening sized to that exact device. With only 11.5" of depth, the shelf fits shallow wall-mount racks, equipment niches, and furniture enclosures where standard-depth shelving will not close the door. The remaining depth behind the shelf stays available for power supplies and cable slack, which simplifies service access in cramped enclosures. Steel construction and the textured black powder-coat finish match the rest of the Middle Atlantic rack ecosystem, so the shelf integrates visually with blanks, vents, and rack panels. Because it occupies a standard 2U opening, rack elevations remain simple to document and modify.
