The RSH4A5S custom rackmount shelf pairs a full 5U of vertical clearance with a compact 11.5" platform, making it well suited to shallow wall-mount racks, furniture-integrated enclosures, and equipment closets where rear clearance is at a premium. The S depth code in the model number identifies the 11.5" platform within Middle Atlantic's RSH4A naming convention. Despite the shallow footprint, the custom-cut face plate delivers the same finished presentation as the deeper shelves in the series: your component sits flush in the anodized panel as if it were a native rackmount unit.
