The RSH4A5RW occupies the middle ground of Middle Atlantic's 5U custom shelf range: deeper than the 11.5" S models, shallower than the 17.5" X models. The R depth code denotes the 15.5" platform, a practical match for mid-depth components such as disc players, streaming transports, and processors that need real support behind the face plate without consuming full rack depth. As a wide-format (W) shelf, it accepts equipment that exceeds the opening width of the standard RSH4A5R configuration. Middle Atlantic cuts the anodized face plate to order against your component's measurements, producing an integrated, factory-style installation rather than a visible shelf-and-gap arrangement. Five rack spaces of height accommodate tall chassis and provide ventilation room above the component.
