Deep consumer equipment placed on a short rack shelf overhangs the platform, stresses the front faceplate, and looks unfinished. The RSH4A4XX custom rackmount enclosure shelf from Middle Atlantic eliminates that compromise with a 20.5-inch shelf depth — the longest in the RSH4A series — so full-depth chassis are supported along their entire footprint. As with every RSH4A shelf, the anodized face plate is made to order: you specify the component, and the opening is precision cut to its dimensions so front controls, displays, and media trays stay accessible from the rack face. The standard-width format accepts devices up to 17-3/8" wide, covering the majority of consumer-format gear; the RSH4A4XXW companion model covers wider chassis. Four rack units of height keep the shelf compact in the elevation while leaving working clearance above the mounted device. There is no drilling, no adapter fabrication, and no disassembly of the component — the shelf bolts to standard EIA 19-inch rack rails like any 4-space panel.
