The Middle Atlantic RSH4A4M is a custom 4U rackshelf enclosure with a 14" shelf depth, designed to mount non-rackmount AV components in any standard 19" rack or enclosure with zero modification to the rack or the device. Its black brushed and anodized face plate is custom-cut at the factory to frame the specific component you order it for, turning a loose set-top source or desktop unit into a finished rack-mounted element. Four rack spaces of height give clearance for taller consumer and pro-AV chassis. It is the standard-width counterpart to the wide-format RSH4A4MW.

Cable boxes, streaming players, residential sources, and compact processors rarely come with rack ears, yet they still need to live in the equipment rack. The Middle Atlantic RSH4A4M custom rack shelf gives that gear a proper home: the component sits on a 14" deep shelf while a custom-machined anodized face plate closes off the 4U opening around its front panel. Controls, displays, and IR windows remain exposed and usable, and the rack elevation stays uniform.

In the RSH4A naming scheme, the first 4 indicates four rack spaces of height and the M depth code indicates 14" of usable shelf depth, the mid-depth option in the series. That dimension covers most consumer-format components without consuming the rear-of-rack zone reserved for power strips and cable dressing. Deeper components can step up to the 15.5" RSH4A4R or the 20.5" XX versions, and wider chassis can move to the RSH4A4MW.

Mounting uses standard EIA rail holes in any 19" rack or enclosure, so installation is a bolt-in job with no drilling. Since each face plate is cut to order, provide the exact make and model of the equipment being mounted when you purchase. The shelf ships at 9 lb in a 22 x 18 x 2" carton.
