Some components defeat ordinary rack shelves twice over: a full-size AV receiver or large-format source can be too deep for a 14" shelf and too wide for a standard cutout. The Middle Atlantic RSH4A3XXW custom 3U wide rackshelf is built for that intersection. The XX depth code provides 20.5" of shelf depth, the longest in the RSH4A line, while the trailing W designates the wide format with additional lateral clearance in the face plate opening.

The face plate itself is the heart of the product. Machined from black brushed and anodized material, it is custom-cut at the factory to frame the front panel of the exact component you are racking, so volume knobs, displays, and disc trays remain accessible while the 3U opening is fully closed off.
