The Middle Atlantic RSH4A11X is an 11U custom rackshelf enclosure with a 17.5" deep chassis and a black brushed, anodized face plate. The X depth code positions it between the 15.5" and 20.5" versions in the RSH4A series, a practical middle ground for deeper sources that do not need the full extra-deep chassis. No modification to the component or the rack is required.

Product Description

The RSH4A11X gives a non-rack component a permanent, finished home in the equipment rack. Rather than setting a cable box, media player, or audio source on an open shelf, the device mounts inside an 11U enclosure behind an anodized aluminum face plate that Middle Atlantic cuts for the exact make and model. The result reads as a purpose-built rackmount component, with front controls, displays, and trays still reachable through the cutout.

The 17.5" X-depth chassis suits equipment that is too long for a 15.5" shelf but does not justify the 20.5" extra-deep version — a common scenario with AV receivers and larger source components. Eleven rack units of height give tall gear the vertical clearance it needs while keeping the rack elevation tidy. The black brushed anodized finish is consistent with Middle Atlantic rack faces, blank panels, and vent panels, so the enclosure integrates visually with the rest of the build.
