The Middle Atlantic RSH4A10XX is a 10U custom rackshelf enclosure with a 20.5" extra-deep chassis, designed to mount deep, non-rackmount AV components in a standard 19" rack. Its black brushed, anodized face plate is custom cut to the specific component you are racking, so the device presents as a finished rackmount unit with controls still accessible. The XX depth code is the longest chassis in the RSH4A custom shelf series. No modification to the equipment or the rack is needed.

Product Description

Long-chassis components — full-size receivers, disc players, and similar deep hardware — are poorly served by ordinary rack shelves, which leave the back of the unit unsupported. The RSH4A10XX answers this with a 20.5" deep enclosure that supports the full length of the component, combined with 10 rack units of height for substantial vertical clearance.

Middle Atlantic cuts the anodized face plate to the make and model you specify, so the front opening matches the component's controls, display, and tray locations exactly. The remainder of the panel closes off the 10U opening, eliminating the visual gap an open shelf would leave. The black brushed anodized aluminum finish ties into Middle Atlantic rack faces, blank panels, and vent panels for a cohesive equipment rack.

Compared to the RSH4A11XX, this model gives up one rack unit of height at the same 20.5" depth, which can be the right trade when rack space is tight.
