Not every project calls for a full-height enclosure. The RK2 gives AV integrators and IT installers a 2-space equipment rack footprint for mounting a small switch, audio amplifier, power conditioner, or interface panel where a larger cabinet would be wasted space. Its 16" depth suits half-rack and shallow rackmount components commonly found in huddle rooms, retail counters, classroom lecterns, and residential media cabinets.

Like its larger RK Series siblings, the RK2 is built from durable black laminate panels that arrive knocked down for flat shipment, which reduces freight cost and the risk of transit damage. Assembly requires only the included hardware and basic tools. A 10-32 threaded front rack rail comes standard, so equipment mounts directly without buying rail kits separately. Because the RK2 shares the RK/BRK family design, it pairs visually with other Middle Atlantic laminate racks when multiple enclosures are deployed across a facility.
