Product Description
The OCAP-3 open clamping rack mount from Middle Atlantic Products is a 3-rack-space unit that clamps and secures non-rack-mount components such as cable boxes, satellite receivers, and streaming devices in a standard 19-inch rack. Unlike solid-bottom shelves, the open frame design of the OCAP-3 provides maximum ventilation around the mounted component, which is critical for devices that produce significant heat during operation. The adjustable clamping bars on the top and bottom are foam padded to protect component housings from scratching or damage during mounting. The bars are adjustable to accommodate components of different heights within the 3-space envelope. The open construction also allows higher equipment density within a rack compared to solid shelving because adjacent components benefit from the unobstructed airflow path. Construction is 16-gauge steel with a durable black powder coat finish.
