The Middle Atlantic MWCFRD-FKIT is an additional 6-inch fan kit for MW-CFRD Series high-CFM split rear doors. The fan is rated at 220 CFM in free air, adding substantial exhaust capacity to a fan-door installation. It allows integrators to populate open fan positions on the door as rack heat loads grow. Fan guards are not included and are ordered separately.
Product Description
Middle Atlantic MW-CFRD Series split rear doors are designed for high-airflow thermal management on heavily loaded equipment racks, and their fan capacity can be scaled to match the installed heat load. The MWCFRD-FKIT provides one additional 6-inch fan for these doors, rated at 220 CFM in free air. Adding fans to the door increases total exhaust airflow, helping pull hot air out of the rack and keep servers, amplifiers, and power systems within safe operating temperatures. Specifying fan kits only as needed keeps initial cost and acoustic output down, while leaving a clear upgrade path when more equipment is added to the enclosure. Installation positions the fan in the door's designated fan location alongside any factory-installed units. Note that fan guards are not included with this kit.
