The Middle Atlantic MW-TR top rail kit converts the top opening of WRK, MRK, VRK, VMRK, and DRK rack enclosures into a usable rack space for mounting panels or equipment. This accessory is particularly useful for adding connector panels or blank panels to the top of a rack, creating additional mounting positions without requiring a separate enclosure. The MW-TR includes a heavy-gauge 10-32 threaded rail pair, mounting angles, and all necessary hardware for a complete installation.
Product Description
AV rack enclosures in the WRK, MRK, VRK, VMRK, and DRK series often have a top opening that is left uncovered or used only for fan mounting. The MW-TR top rail kit adds rack mounting capability to this space by installing a recessed 10-32 threaded rail that sits 1/8 inch below the top surface of the rack. This recess prevents panels installed on the top rail from protruding above the rack frame, maintaining a flush, professional appearance. When combined with Middle Atlantic connector panels, the top rail position enables custom I/O configurations — such as XLR, HDMI, VGA, or ethernet connectors — to be built into the top of the rack enclosure, a common requirement in boardroom, conference, and theater installations. The kit includes a pair of rails, mounting angles, and all hardware needed for installation. No additional tools or rack-specific modifications are required beyond standard screwdrivers and the included hardware.
