The Middle Atlantic MW-ST is a solid steel rack top for Middle Atlantic WR, WRK, MRK, VRK, VMRK, and DRK series equipment racks. It fully closes the top of the enclosure, making it the right choice when top ventilation is not part of the thermal design or when the rack sits in an environment where dust and debris are a concern. The top includes a removable two-space service plate for cable entry and finishes the rack in black to match the enclosure.
Product Description
Middle Atlantic offers a family of top options for its MRK, VRK, VMRK, and WRK rack lines so integrators can match the top of the enclosure to the cooling strategy of the room. The MW-ST is the solid top in that family: a steel panel that closes off the top of the rack completely. A closed top is appropriate when cooling is handled through the front and rear of the enclosure, when the rack is installed under a work surface or in a space where objects could fall into the enclosure, or when the design simply does not call for top exhaust. The MW-ST includes a removable two-space service plate, the same practical detail found across the MW top family. Cables entering the rack through the top route through this plate, so the main top section can be lifted off for service without cutting ties or disturbing dressed cable bundles. Construction is steel with a black finish that matches Middle Atlantic WR, WRK, MRK, VRK, VMRK, and DRK racks. If your installation relies on passive top exhaust instead, the companion MW-VT vented top provides 64% open area in the same footprint, and fan top options are available for active cooling.
