The Middle Atlantic MV-ISO-36 is an isolation kit that electrically isolates select rack models from riser base systems and the floor. It fits 36-inch deep MRK, VRK, and VMRK Series racks. The kit supplies eight 4-inch lengths of tough, non-conductive polycarbonate material along with the isolation hardware needed to complete the installation.
Product Description
In broadcast plants, recording facilities, and other technically grounded installations, rack rows are often required to maintain a single-point ground, with no incidental electrical path through the floor or support structure. The MV-ISO-36 riser base isolation kit addresses exactly that requirement. Installed between the rack and its riser base system, the kit's non-conductive polycarbonate segments break the electrical connection between a 36-inch deep MRK, VRK, or VMRK Series rack and the riser base and floor below it. This keeps the rack's grounding scheme under the control of the facility's intentional ground conductors rather than chance contact through structural steel or raised flooring. The polycarbonate material is tough enough to carry the mechanical load of a fully equipped rack while remaining electrically inert. Eight 4-inch pieces and the matching isolation hardware are included, covering a complete rack installation with one part number. Specify the kit by rack depth: this version fits 36-inch deep enclosures, while the MV-ISO-42 covers 42-inch deep MRK and VRK racks.
