When a laser knockout is removed from a rear door to install a fan, vent, or filter kit, adjacent knockout positions that are not being used can be sealed with the KO-WSB3 blank panel to maintain the rear door's structural integrity and thermal management performance. This blank is a simple, purpose-built component for managing rear door configurations in Middle Atlantic enclosures.

Product Description

The rear doors of Middle Atlantic WRK, MRK, and ERK series enclosures are designed with laser-pre-cut knockouts that can be removed to install fan kits, vent panels, and filter assemblies for active or passive thermal management. When the installation design requires some knockout positions to have thermal accessories and others to remain sealed, the KO-WSB3 blank panel fills the unused 3-space knockout positions to prevent uncontrolled airflow through open holes in the door. This is important for maintaining the airflow path designed by the thermal management plan — uncontrolled openings can create bypass paths that reduce cooling effectiveness by pulling cooler outside air into areas where it is not needed. The KO-WSB3 fits directly into the 3-space configurable rear door opening and installs securely without additional hardware beyond standard fasteners.
