Product Description
The KDE2S from Middle Atlantic Products is a pair of short rack ears for the KD Series ready-to-assemble rack shelf system, sized at 2 rack spaces in height. KD Series shelves ship flat-packed to minimize freight costs and storage space requirements; the ears and base are assembled on-site using the included hardware. The KDE2S ears are specifically the short variant, measuring 11-1/2 inches in panel height, which affects how they interface with the base. These short ears are only compatible with the KDB-14 base (not the 15-1/2-inch base used by standard-height KDE ears), making the correct base selection critical when ordering. The ears feature a vented panel design that promotes passive cooling of shelf contents and also accepts clamping bars for additional equipment retention. The black powder coat finish matches Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure finishes throughout the product line. All hardware needed for assembly is included.
