Product Description
In certain AV rack installations, direct metal-to-floor contact between a rack enclosure and a conductive floor surface can create grounding loops or introduce electrical noise into sensitive audio or video systems. The ISO-1 addresses this by placing tough polycarbonate isolators between the rack base and the floor. Polycarbonate is a non-conductive, high-impact thermoplastic that handles the weight of a loaded rack while breaking the electrical path. The kit includes eight pieces of 4-inch-long isolator material, with two pieces applied per rack edge (four edges on a standard rack), providing a complete installation. The ISO-1 is commonly used in audio production environments, recording studios, broadcast facilities, and other settings where ground loop isolation is a priority.
