Product Description
The HP-6MM Rack Screw pack from Middle Atlantic Products provides 100 standard black 6mm threaded rack screws for mounting equipment in telecom and data racks that use metric thread specifications. While 10-32 threaded rails are the most common thread type in AV rack systems, 6mm threaded rails are standard in many telecom cabinets, data center racks, and European equipment racks. The HP-6MM screws are the correct fastener for these metric-threaded installations. The heat treatment process applied to each screw head significantly increases resistance to cam-out and head stripping during installation and removal, which is particularly valuable when mounting and removing equipment frequently. Pre-installed nylon washers on each screw protect the equipment front panels from direct metal contact and provide the slight spring tension needed to maintain secure rack mounting. The black finish coordinates with standard black rack panels and equipment faceplates. At 3/4 inches in length, these screws are sized to engage the full depth of a standard rack rail thread without bottoming out.
