The HCM-2D Horizontal Cable Manager from Middle Atlantic Products is a 2-rack-space (2U) panel-style cable manager featuring a D-ring opening on the front face for routing patch cords and structured cabling within a 19-inch rack. Cable managers serve the critical function of keeping patch cables organized and preventing them from being pulled into tight bends that can damage conductors and degrade signal performance. The D-ring design on the HCM-2D presents a wide, rounded opening at the front of the panel, allowing cables to be quickly routed through without the need to thread them from the end. This makes adds, moves, and changes faster compared to ring-style managers with closed ends. The panel has no end rings, keeping cable access focused on the front opening. Middle Atlantic recommends not exceeding 50% fill rate through the cable rings to maintain the required bend radius for all cables passing through the manager.
