The HCM-1DV horizontal cable manager uses D-ring style retention on the front panel and matching D-ring style end rings on the vertical sides, giving technicians a consistent cable routing experience across the entire unit. D-rings are well-established in structured cabling for their ability to guide cables gently without creating tight bends that can degrade signal performance in data and audio/video patch cords. This 1-space unit occupies minimal rack real estate while providing organized management of horizontal cable runs between patch panels, switches, and AV equipment. Middle Atlantic recommends maintaining a 50% fill rate or less when routing cables through the rings to preserve bend radius requirements.
