The Middle Atlantic GK-1X7G is a 4-pack of oblong 1-inch by 7-inch gland grommets for rack enclosure knockout openings. These grommets fit the 1" x 7" knockout openings found in select Middle Atlantic racks, allowing cables to pass through while blocking dust and preventing abrasion at the cable entry point. The oblong form factor is designed for routing multiple cables through a single elongated knockout without requiring separate circular grommets for each cable bundle.
Product Description
The GK-1X7G Oblong Gland Grommet Kit from Middle Atlantic Products provides four 1" x 7" oblong grommets for the elongated knockout openings present in compatible Middle Atlantic rack enclosures. The oblong shape of these grommets accommodates the routing of multiple cables or cable bundles through a single elongated opening, which is more efficient than requiring individual circular knockouts for each bundle. The gland grommet design allows cables to pass through while the flexible grommet material seals around the cables to block dust entry and protect cable jackets from contact with the metal edges of the knockout. The grommets are easily opened for cable routing and close back around the cables for a maintained seal. Each pack contains 4 grommets, providing enough coverage for multiple knockout positions in a rack enclosure or across several ganged racks. Integrators working with Middle Atlantic racks that include 1" x 7" knockout openings should specify the GK-1X7G to complete the cable entry detail.
