Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic FK2 UCP Frame Kit provides a 2-rack-space hinged frame for building custom connection panels using UCP Series punchout modules. The frame accommodates a wide range of connector types including XLR, BNC, DB, Neutrik, Canare, Elco, and many others, allowing integrators to configure signal interface panels for specific project requirements. The hinged design allows the populated panel to swing open for rear-access maintenance without removing it from the rack.
Product Description
The FK2 UCP Frame Kit from Middle Atlantic Products is a 2-rack-space (2U) hinged front panel frame designed to work with the Universal Connector Panel (UCP) modular punchout system. The UCP system consists of prepunched panel modules that accept a broad range of professional audio, video, and data connectors, allowing custom signal interface panels to be assembled from off-the-shelf components. The FK2 frame holds these modules and mounts in a standard EIA 19-inch rack. The hinged construction sets this frame apart from non-hinged variants: once mounted in the rack, the entire populated panel can swing open on its hinge to expose the rear of the connectors for wiring, re-termination, or troubleshooting without pulling the frame out of the rack. Compatible connector module types include XLR female and male, combo connectors, Elco multipin, Whirlwind multipin, 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch hole modules for jacks, switches and LEDs, Canare BNC, Cannon DL Series, DB9 through DB50, standard BNC, Twistlock, DUP, Socapex 19-pin, banana, vent modules, and blank modules. For 4-space installations, the FK4 is available instead. For non-hinged frames, Middle Atlantic offers comparable models in the UCP lineup.
