Product Description
Heat is the leading cause of premature failure in rack-mounted AV and network equipment, and the FAN-6 provides a simple, dependable way to keep air moving through an enclosure. With 220 CFM of airflow from a single six-inch fan, it handles thermal loads from amplifiers, receivers, network switches, and source components in residential and commercial racks.
The ball-bearing motor design delivers extra quiet operation at 49 dBA, an important consideration when the rack lives in a media room, conference room, or office rather than a dedicated equipment closet. Ball-bearing construction also extends service life compared to sleeve-bearing fans, particularly in warmer enclosures and horizontal mounting orientations.
The flush mount format installs into fan tops and vented panels using the included mounting hardware, and the included cord connects to a rack power source. Note that fan guards are not included and can be added separately. For integrators planning rack thermal management, the FAN-6 is a flexible building block that scales from a single fan to multi-fan top panels.
