The Middle Atlantic ERK-LVT is a large perforated vented top for ERK Series and compatible floor-standing racks. Its perforation pattern delivers 64% open area, maximizing passive airflow out of the top of the enclosure for effective convection cooling. Built from steel with a black finish, it fits WMRK racks, ERK racks of 35 spaces and higher, all sizes of ERK-KD knockdown racks, and SCRK racks.
Product Description
Heat rises, and a vented rack top is one of the simplest ways to let it escape. The ERK-LVT is Middle Atlantic's large perforated vented top option, designed for installations where maximum top-panel airflow is the priority. With 64% open area, the large-perf pattern moves substantially more air than standard vented tops, supporting passive convection in racks loaded with amplifiers, switching, and processing gear. When paired with vented or filtered intake openings lower in the enclosure, the top completes a bottom-to-top airflow path that helps keep internal temperatures in check without adding fans; it also serves well as an exhaust path above fan-assisted racks. Compatibility spans several Middle Atlantic floor-standing families: WMRK Series, ERK Series racks of 35 spaces and higher, ERK-KD knockdown racks in all sizes, and SCRK Series racks. Steel construction with a black finish matches the host enclosure for a clean, integrated look. For ERK racks that need a standard vented top rather than the large-perf version, Middle Atlantic offers the ERK-VT separately.
