Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic EC-3 is a 3-space economy rack chassis, 6 inches deep, designed to house custom electronics and project work in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. All-steel construction with a black powder coat finish gives the enclosure a strong body and a clean look in the rack. The chassis disassembles easily, so panels can be removed for machining connector cutouts and for access during assembly. It is the economical alternative to Middle Atlantic's premium CH Series chassis.
Product Description
Custom interfaces, relay packs, hum eliminators, and one-off project boards all need a proper home in the rack, and the EC-3 provides exactly that. This 3-rackspace econo chassis gives integrators and broadcast engineers a 6-inch-deep steel enclosure for mounting custom work behind a finished rack face. Because the chassis comes apart easily, individual panels can be pulled, punched, and drilled on the bench for jacks, switches, and cable glands, then reassembled without fighting the enclosure.
The all-steel body resists flexing under the weight of mounted components, and the black powder coat finish matches Middle Atlantic racks and the surrounding equipment. For installations where the chassis face is highly visible, Middle Atlantic's premium CH Series adds machinable aluminum front and rear panels with a brushed, anodized black faceplate; for back-of-house and utility work, the EC-3 delivers the same basic function at a lower cost. Smaller and larger heights are available in the EC family, making it easy to standardize custom enclosures across a project.
