Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic DWRSR-ZL is a front-mounted zero clearance latch for DWR Series pivoting wall racks and SR Series wall racks. By replacing side-access threaded rods with a keylocked latch operated from the front, it allows wall racks to be mounted side by side, tight into a corner, or against any obstruction where side clearance is unavailable. The latch keeps the rack's center section securely closed and is required for seismic installations. Installation is an easy one-person job.
Product Description
Standard DWR and SR wall racks need side clearance to secure the pivoting center section, which wastes wall space and rules out corner placements. The patented DWRSR-ZL zero clearance latch eliminates that requirement: two DWR units can be mounted close together, or a single rack can sit directly against a wall or other obstruction. To open the rack, the technician simply pulls the convenient front-mounted handle instead of threading rods in and out, which saves significant service time on every visit.
The latch provides keylocked security from the front and is keyed differently from the optional DWR front door, so access to the equipment compartment and access to the rack interior can be controlled separately. When locking is not needed, the latch still keeps the center section positively closed. For projects in seismic zones, the DWRSR-ZL is a required component of a compliant DWR/SR wall rack installation, making it a standard line item on bid specifications. One-person installation keeps retrofits simple on racks already hanging in the field.
