Product Overview

The Middle Atlantic DWR-18-17 is an 18U pivoting wall mount rack with 17 inches of usable depth, built for commercial AV installation where floor space is limited. Its pivoting center section swings open to give integrators full rear access to cabling and connections without pulling equipment from the rack. Forward rackrail and Lever Lock compatibility support tool-free accessory mounting, reducing labor time on every commercial deployment. For equipment closets, conference rooms, and classrooms, the DWR-18-17 keeps AV and network gear organized, secure, and serviceable.

Product Description

The DWR-18-17 belongs to Middle Atlantic's DWR Series of pivoting wall racks, a long-standing standard for wall mount AV rack installation in commercial environments. The welded steel frame provides 18 rack spaces and a 17-inch usable depth, sized for compact switchers, network switches, audio DSPs, and control processors. The rack ships with Forward rackrail, which accepts Forward blank panels, vent panels, and horizontal cable management; rear rackrail is available as an option (FWD-DWR-RR18). The center section and backpan (with the LL-DWR/SR-BP accessory) accept Lever Lock tool-free device and cable management accessories, so integrators can mount gear on and off the rail without drilling or loose hardware. Middle Atlantic states this accessory ecosystem makes rack installations up to five times faster. The Tool-Free Quick-Mount system lets one technician hang the center section on the backpan at the jobsite, simplifying single-person installation. A rear channel in the center section accommodates optional PDT and PD Slim power distribution units to preserve rack spaces. The center section swing is reversible, supports both key locking and padlocking, and is keyed differently from the optional front door for layered security. When paired with the DWRSR-ZL latch, the rack carries seismic certification for code-driven projects, and an optional minimum-clearance latch permits side-by-side or interior-corner mounting. The enclosure is designed for either active or passive cooling, and the black finish suits equipment rooms and finished spaces alike. Pair it with accessories from our Middle Atlantic collection to complete the build.
