Product Description
Metal cable ladder trays used for AV and low-voltage cabling in commercial installations are required by electrical code to be properly bonded and grounded. Even when individual ladder sections are mechanically connected with splice plates, the mechanical connection alone does not always provide a reliable low-resistance electrical bond. The CL-GK grounding kit addresses this by providing heavy-gauge bonding wire and connectors that bridge each ladder section junction with a dedicated electrical bond. This ensures the entire cable ladder system is at the same electrical potential, preventing the buildup of static charges or stray currents that could affect sensitive AV signal cabling routed on the ladder. The heavy-gauge wire and connectors provide long-term reliability in the above-ceiling environment where the ladder is typically installed.
