The Middle Atlantic CH1 is a 1-space (1RU) rackmount chassis, 10 inches deep, built to house custom electronics work in a professional, finished enclosure. Its 16-gauge all-steel body wears a black powder coat, while the screwless flush-mounted front faceplate is aluminum with a black brushed and anodized finish. The chassis disassembles easily, so panels can be removed for machining and interior access. It is the single-space member of the CH chassis family, alongside the taller CH2 and CH3.

Product Description

Custom interface circuits, breakout wiring, and one-off control electronics deserve better than a project box, and the CH1 packages them in a chassis that looks at home in a finished equipment rack. The enclosure occupies one rack space and extends 10 inches deep, enough for connector fields, terminal blocks, and small boards while preserving depth for cabling behind it. Middle Atlantic builds the body from 16-gauge steel for rigidity under fully loaded rack rails, and finishes it in black powder coat. Both the front and rear panels are aluminum, chosen specifically for easy machining: punch, drill, or mill connector cutouts without fighting hardened steel. The front faceplate carries a black brushed and anodized finish with a screwless, flush-mounted appearance that matches premium rack aesthetics, while the rear panel is powder coated to match the body.
