The Middle Atlantic CAP7 is a 7-space clamping rackshelf that captivates non-rackmount components with rubber-lined clamps secured from the top. Adjustable rear L brackets prevent units from being pushed back into the rack, while vented sides and bottom keep air moving around mounted gear. Built from 16-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish, the CAP7 maintains structural integrity even in mobile applications.
Product Description
Plenty of AV components were never designed for a rack, and the CAP Series exists to mount them anyway. The CAP7 dedicates seven rackspaces to a clamping shelf platform with a usable shelf area of 17.38 inches wide by 15.10 inches deep, sized for taller consumer and commercial components such as cable boxes, streaming devices, game consoles, and small-format processors.
Rubber-lined clamps press down from the top to hold each component firmly without marring its chassis, and adjustable rear L brackets block units from sliding backward when cables are connected or the rack is moved. That clamping action makes the CAP7 particularly well suited to mobile racks and transport cases, where unsecured shelf-mounted gear tends to shift in transit.
The vented bottom and sides promote efficient cooling around heat-producing components, and the robust 16-gauge steel construction resists flexing under load. A durable black powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic racks and accessories. The shelf ships ready-to-assemble, reducing packaging bulk and storage space before installation.
