The Middle Atlantic BL3 is a 3-space flanged aluminum blank panel with a black brushed anodized finish. The 16-gauge aluminum construction is machinable for custom cutouts, and the premium anodized finish complements RSH4A rackshelves and other anodized rack accessories in high-visibility AV installations.
Product Description
The BL3 is a 3RU flanged aluminum blank panel from Middle Atlantic's BL series, which represents the premium tier of blank panel options. Where economy panels use steel with powder coat, the BL series uses aluminum with a black brushed anodized finish that is visually superior — the anodized surface has a distinctive brushed metallic texture that complements the anodized RSH series rackshelves and other aluminum rack accessories. At 16-gauge, the aluminum is substantial enough for use as a blank panel without modification, but thin enough to be easily cut, drilled, or machined if a custom cutout is needed for cable routing, connector pass-throughs, or labeling windows. The flanged design provides standard rack mounting compatibility. The BL series is available from 1U through higher heights to accommodate any gap size in an anodized rack installation.
