The Middle Atlantic APV-2 is a 2-rack-space slotted (vented) hinged access panel constructed from 13-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish. The panel is hinged on one side for quick access to the rack interior without removing the panel entirely, and captive 10-32 threaded thumbscrews allow tool-free opening and will not be lost during access. The slotted design allows airflow through the panel while preventing accidental contact with equipment behind it.
Product Description
The APV-2 slotted access panel from Middle Atlantic Products is a 2-rack-space vented panel designed for applications where regular access to the rack interior or to connector panels at the rear of rack equipment is required. The panel is hinged on one side, which allows it to swing open fully for interior access without removal from the rack. Captive 10-32 thumbscrews hold the panel closed and require no tools to operate, and their captive design ensures they remain attached to the panel rather than falling loose during access. The slotted (vented) construction allows airflow through the panel, which helps maintain rack thermal performance even when the panel is closed. The 13-gauge steel construction is machinable for integrators who need to add custom connector openings or label windows. This panel is available in the vented APV variant; a solid AP variant is also available for applications where a non-vented panel face is preferred.
