Product Overview
The Middle Atlantic APM-4 is a 4-space (4RU) hinged access mounting panel for securing small devices inside an equipment rack. The aluminum panel is easily drilled to mount punch blocks, terminal strips, power supplies, and similar items that have no rack ears of their own. A side hinge and tool-free captive thumbscrews swing the panel open for maintenance without unloading the rack.
Product Description
Every integrated rack accumulates small devices that were never designed for 19-inch mounting: wall-wart replacements, in-line power supplies, terminal strips, telecom punch blocks, and compact interface boxes. The APM-4 gives those items a proper home. Its universal mounting pattern holds most small devices directly, and because the panel is aluminum, installers can quickly drill custom hole patterns in the field for anything the standard pattern does not cover. Mounting devices to a panel rather than stuffing them behind gear keeps the rack serviceable and makes wiring easier to dress and document. The hinged design is the key serviceability feature: the panel is hinged on one side and held closed by captive 10-32 threaded thumbscrews, so it opens by hand with no tools, swinging out to expose the mounted devices and their connections for changes or troubleshooting. At 4 rack spaces, the APM-4 offers generous mounting real estate for multiple devices on a single panel; smaller APM panels are available for lighter requirements. It is a simple, machinable, professional solution to one of rack integration's most common annoyances.
