It includes front, rear, and top channels along with all mounting hardware, so multi-bay Slim 5 installations keep clean, serviceable cable management from day one.
Product Description
When Slim 5 rack frames are ganged side by side, the space between bays is the natural route for signal wiring and power distribution — but without a chase, that gap is unprotected and difficult to dress. The Middle Atlantic 5CC14 cable chase kit solves this for 14 RU 5-14 frames by forming an enclosed inter-bay channel between adjacent racks. The kit provides room for wiring and power distribution between bays, keeping high-density cable bundles organized and out of the equipment envelope. Because the chase establishes a defined gap between frames, it also enables the use of doors and the split rear rail option on ganged rack assemblies — configurations that would otherwise conflict at the seam between bays. Front, rear, and top channels are all included, along with the mounting hardware needed to join the chase to both rack frames. For integrators standardizing on the Slim 5 platform, the 5CC14 matches the 14 RU frame height exactly; taller multi-bay rows use the companion 5CC21, 5CC29, and 5CC37 kits for 21, 29, and 37 RU frames. The result is a ganged rack row with consistent spacing, protected cable pathways, and full accessory compatibility.
