The Middle Atlantic 5AR14 is an adjustable rear rackrail kit for 14RU Slim 5 Series racks, providing 10RU of additional mounting space at the rear of the frame. Its adjustable, split design supports both mid-hanging and rear-hanging equipment positions, making it easy to mount power distribution, patch panels, and other rear-of-rack components. The kit works with all Slim 5 side panels and includes all necessary brackets, rails, and hardware.
Product Description
Slim 5 Series racks are popular in residential and small commercial AV installations precisely because of their compact footprint, but that compactness means front rackrail space fills up fast. The Middle Atlantic 5AR14 adjustable rear rackrail reclaims the back of a 14RU Slim 5 rack, adding 10RU of usable mounting positions for equipment that does not need front-panel access. The split rail design adjusts to support mid-hanging and rear-hanging configurations, so installers can position rails at the depth that suits each device, whether that is a vertically mounted power strip, a rear-facing patch panel, or a network switch. Because the rail set is engineered for the Slim 5 platform, it remains fully compatible with all Slim 5 side panels, preserving the finished look of the enclosure. When Slim 5 racks are ganged together, plan to add the cable chase kit, which is required for ganged configurations using rear rails. Everything needed for installation ships in the box, including brackets, rails, and mounting hardware.
