The Middle Atlantic 5-BAVTRIM is a two-piece set of vent trim panels for Slim 5 series rack frames, finished in black brushed and anodized aluminum. The panels replace the standard vent trim at the top and bottom of the enclosure so the rack face matches the finish of components mounted within. Each piece measures 19 inches wide by 1.69 inches high with a slim 0.31-inch depth. It is a small finishing detail that brings a Slim 5 rack in line with brushed-face AV gear.
Product Description
Many higher-end audio and video components ship with brushed aluminum faceplates, and against those finishes the standard vent trim on a Slim 5 rack can read as a mismatch. The 5-BAVTRIM vent trim panel set addresses this by swapping in top and bottom trim panels with a black brushed and anodized finish that better matches such components. The result is a more consistent rack face from the top of the frame to the bottom.
The set includes two pieces, covering both the top and bottom trim positions on a Slim 5 rack frame. Each panel is fabricated from aluminum, the same material family as the brushed component faceplates it is meant to complement, and measures 19 inches wide, 1.69 inches high, and 0.31 inches deep with two mounting points per panel. At roughly half a pound for the packaged set, it adds essentially nothing to the rack's weight or footprint. Installation is a direct replacement of the standard vent trim, so no modification to the rack frame is required.
