The Middle Atlantic 23-19-3 is a 3-space (3U) adapter panel that reduces 23-inch wide ZRK rack openings to accommodate standard 19-inch rack equipment. The steel insert slips into 23-inch wide racks and provides the correct mounting geometry for 19-inch panel-mount devices.
Product Description
The 23-19-3 solves the common integration challenge of installing 19-inch rack equipment in a 23-inch wide ZRK rack chassis. Many broadcast, telecom, and legacy AV installations use 23-inch wide rack infrastructure, but the majority of modern AV and IT equipment conforms to 19-inch standards. Rather than replacing a perfectly functional 23-inch rack just to accommodate standard equipment, the 23-19-3 inserts into the rack opening and provides 19-inch mounting rails within the 23-inch frame. At 3U (5.25-inch height), the panel adapter provides three spaces of reduced-width mounting capacity. The steel construction matches the structural quality expected in rack accessories, and the package weight of 0.89 lb confirms this is a lightweight panel accessory. This model handles 3U of space; a 2U version (23-19-2) is also available for different height requirements.
