The Middle Atlantic UFA-8-F2 is a 1U rack shelf measuring 8 inches deep with a 2U faceplate, designed for mounting cables and small devices in 19-inch rack enclosures. With a 35 lb weight capacity and sturdy steel construction, this shelf installs at the front or rear of standard rack rails and includes pre-cut holes and slots for cable management and device mounting. The included 1U faceplate provides a clean finished appearance once the shelf is populated.
Product Description
The UFA-8-F2 rack shelf from Middle Atlantic Products provides a versatile 1U mounting surface for cables, small rack-mount devices, and miscellaneous AV components in standard 19-inch equipment racks. The 8-inch depth accommodates a range of small components while keeping the shelf footprint manageable within a rack bay. Pre-cut holes and slots in the shelf surface are positioned for common cable management and mounting needs, reducing the need for field drilling. Tie-down points allow cable bundles and components to be secured to the shelf surface, reducing cable stress and preventing equipment from shifting during handling. The universal face-after design allows a faceplate covering to be added even after the shelf is installed and populated with components, so the installation does not need to be disturbed to achieve a clean front panel appearance. The 2U faceplate spans 2 rack spaces on the front panel while the shelf itself occupies 1U of rail space, creating the appearance of a taller panel while keeping the shelf compact. A 1U faceplate is included with the UFA-8-F2. Installation requires rack screws matching the thread pattern of the installed rack rails.
