Description

The USW-112P compact narrow subwoofer provides big bass sound for very tight spaces. Its compact rectangular enclosure and slanted connector panel enable flush-mounting of the cabinet against wall surfaces, reducing required installation depth to 12 inches, including connectors.

Designed to be the ideal companion to Meyer Sound’s ULTRA-X20, it also complements the low frequencies in other Meyer Sound loudspeakers, such as the UP-4slim and those in the UPM family.

The USW-112P has an operating frequency range of 35–140 Hz with a linear peak SPL of 123 dB, measured in half-space at 4 m and referred to 1 m using M-noise. The bass reflex cabinet employs a low-velocity port design for high efficiency and low port distortion.

The cabinet houses an open-loop, Class-D power amplifier with signal processing including correction filters for phase and frequency response, and driver protection circuitry. The amplifier/ processing package incorporates Meyer Sound’s Intelligent AC, which auto-selects the correct operating voltage, suppresses high voltage transients, filters EMI and provides soft-start power-up.

Audio connectors are XLR (analog version) or etherCON TOP (Milan Certified digital version), and power input and looping output connectors are PowerCON 20 (analog version) or powerCON TRUE1 TOP (digital and weather-protected models).

Remote monitoring is possible on the analog version via the optional RMS remote monitoring module, which in conjunction with the optional RMServer hardware unit, provides comprehensive monitoring of loudspeaker parameters from a host computer running Compass® Control Software. The digital version provides integrated monitoring via Compass Control Software.

Meyer Sound builds the USW-112P cabinet from premium birch plywood coated with a slightly textured black finish and includes a powder-coated, round-perforated steel grille to protect the drivers.

With its versatile shape, the USW-112P can be placed on the ground in either horizontal or vertical positions to accommodate installation requirements.

The USW-112P comes standard with M8 mounting points at the top and bottom for use with the optional U-bracket that enables wall, ceiling, or truss mounting. It also features an integral 35 mm pole mount receptacle with M20 threads for added stability.

Weather protection and custom color finishes for specific cosmetic requirements are available options.

Its low-profile cabinet measures just 23.5 inches high by 13.5 inches wide by 12 inches deep, making it an ideal choice when space is limited.
  • LEAN-AND-CLEAN LOW END - Count on the USW-112P to deliver clean, low-distortion output at any output level: Its proprietary 12” low-distortion, long-excursion driver enhances low-frequency performance in the 35 to 140Hz range, and its cabinet incorporates a low-air-velocity port tuned for high efficiency, linear response, and low distortion.
  • POTENT PROCESSING - The USW-112P’s built-in Class D amplifier delivers a linear peak SPL of 123 dB, measured using M‑Noise. Sophisticated signal processing includes electronic crossover, correction filters for phase and frequency response, and driver-protection circuitry. The crossover accepts full-range signals, enabling daisy-chain signal distribution and eliminating the need for external crossovers in smaller systems.
  • AGILITY PLUS STABILITY - The 47-pound USW-112P fits anywhere, from churches and clubs to restaurants and small theatres. Orient it in horizontal or vertical position; its two integrated M8 mounting points can be used with an optional U-bracket to enable wall, ceiling, or truss mounting. Other options include a 35mm stand-mount receptacle with M20 threads for added stability.
