Product Overview

The Meyer Sound MJF-210 is a low-profile, high-power self-powered stage monitor for demanding vocal and instrument monitoring. Its wedge cabinet slopes 35 degrees from the stage to preserve sight lines while delivering high output and ample low-frequency headroom for touring and installed applications. Two 10-inch long-excursion low-frequency drivers and a 4-inch diaphragm compression driver on a 50-degree by 70-degree horn are powered by an onboard three-channel Class D amplifier. This 3-pin input version uses a standard XLR connection for straightforward integration into analog signal chains.

Product Description

Meyer Sound MJF-210 2x10-inch active stage monitor

The MJF-210 reproduces vocals and instruments faithfully with high intelligibility at high output, exceeding the requirements of touring while occupying a small, lightweight footprint with no external amplification. Its phase-corrected 55 Hz to 18 kHz response, flat phase and frequency characteristics, and exceptional impulse response yield high gain before feedback. The dual 10-inch long-excursion low-frequency section and 4-inch compression driver on a constant-directivity horn provide 50-degree horizontal by 70-degree vertical coverage, with the wide vertical pattern allowing the performer to move upstage and downstage while remaining in coverage. The enclosure is premium multi-ply birch with a textured black finish and rubber base strips to resist vibration-induced movement. For a more compact monitor with a smaller footprint, consider the Meyer Sound MJF-208; the full range is available in the Meyer Sound collection.

Key Features

  • High-Power Self-Powered Design — Onboard three-channel Class D amplification rated at 1950 W peak eliminates external amplifiers.
  • Low-Profile Cabinet — The wedge enclosure slopes 35 degrees from the stage to preserve audience and performer sight lines.
  • Dual 10-inch Low Frequency — Two 10-inch long-excursion cone drivers provide high output and ample low-frequency headroom.
  • Wide Vertical Coverage — The 50-degree by 70-degree horn lets the performer move upstage and downstage while remaining in coverage.
  • High Gain Before Feedback — Flat phase and frequency response with controlled pattern minimizes interaction with nearby microphones.
  • 3-Pin XLR Input — A standard XLR 3-pin female input with male loop output simplifies analog signal distribution.

Typical Applications

  • Auditorium and performing arts stage monitoring
  • Multi-purpose performance rooms
  • Broadcast studio foldback
  • High-output vocal and instrument monitoring

Competitor Comparison

Criteria Meyer Sound MJF-210 d&b M6 L-Acoustics X15 HiQ
Format The MJF-210 is a self-powered two-way stage monitor with dual 10-inch drivers and onboard amplification. The M6 is a passive high-output stage monitor requiring an external d&b amplifier. The X15 HiQ is a passive 15-inch coaxial loudspeaker used as a monitor with external L-Acoustics amplification.
Amplification Three-channel Class D amplification and processing are built into the MJF-210. The M6 relies on external d&b amplifiers for power and processing. The X15 HiQ relies on external L-Acoustics amplifier controllers for power and processing.
Low Frequency The MJF-210 uses two 10-inch long-excursion drivers for high output and headroom. The M6 uses a dual low-frequency configuration in a passive wedge. The X15 HiQ uses a single 15-inch coaxial driver.
Cabinet Profile The MJF-210 uses a low-profile wedge with a 35-degree front angle to preserve sight lines. The M6 uses a low-profile wedge cabinet. The X15 HiQ is a multi-purpose enclosure deployable as a floor monitor.
Monitoring The MJF-210 supports the optional RMS remote monitoring system through Compass software. The M6 provides monitoring through its external d&b amplifiers. The X15 HiQ provides monitoring through its external amplified controllers.
