The Meyer Sound Galileo GALAXY 816-AES3 is a networked loudspeaker management processor built to drive and align larger Meyer Sound line array and point-source systems, with 8 analog or digital inputs and 16 outputs — available in analog and AES/EBU digital — in a 2RU chassis. It provides 24-bit/96 kHz processing, Milan-certified AVB networking, and Meyer Sound's full processing toolkit — parametric EQ, U-Shaping EQ, delay matrix, and Product Integration for matching multiple loudspeaker models in one coherent system. The AES3 digital output makes this model the right choice when downstream equipment expects a digital audio handoff rather than analog.
Housed in a 2RU, 19-inch rack-mount chassis, the GALAXY 816-AES3 shares its core processing architecture with the standard GALAXY 816, running at up to 64-bit internal resolution with an ultra-low noise floor and roughly 0.6ms of latency from input to output. Control runs through Compass Control Software on Mac or PC, the Compass Go iPad app, or Spacemap Go for spatial audio design, with straightforward third-party integration for Crestron and similar control systems. Input processing covers gain, delay, and 5-band parametric/U-Shaping EQ; output processing adds polarity reversal, 10-band parametric EQ, Low-Mid Beam Control, and atmospheric correction. Two SIM bus ports allow direct connection to Meyer Sound's SIM audio analyzer for on-site measurement and verification. The built-in summing and delay matrix lets a designer assign gain and delay at every routing cross point, so a single loudspeaker can serve as an output for multiple independently processed input signals.
