Product Overview
The Martin Exterior Dot-1 Pro is an IP67-rated, individually-controllable RGBW outdoor pixel dot string for permanent architectural installations, building facades, media facades, and large-scale creative LED displays. Each string contains 100 individually addressable dots at 115mm spacing on a 2-meter lead-in cable. The Dot-1 Pro features Full Gamut Pixel Calibration for exceptional color and brightness consistency across thousands of dots in a large installation, and a minimum LED lifetime of 100,000 hours. Compatible with Martin P3, Art-Net (1/2/3/4 with RDM), and sACN (ANSI E1.31), it integrates directly into leading architectural control ecosystems.
Product Description
The Exterior Dot-1 Pro delivers true pixel-level control of each RGBW dot using 16-bit resolution via P3 or 8-bit DMX control. The color boost feature ensures bright, saturated, and mixed colors even in daylight-visible applications. A dedicated color temperature control channel enables warm-to-cool white tuning across the string. Built-in Effect Macros (FX) allow stand-alone operation with up to 20 programmable scenes. The string connects to either the Exterior AC-Feeder (MAR-90580003) or Exterior DC-Feeder (MAR-90580004) via a hot-pluggable IP67-rated custom 8-pin connector operating at 15VDC.
The pixel spacing is configurable from 115mm to 2,000mm with a maximum lead-in cable of 5 meters (extendable to 10m with the Active Lead-In Cable Extender, MAR-90580023). Smart accessories include a diffused dome for 180° viewing angle (vs. 140° clear), a glare shield kit, and mounting brackets in both grey and black. The C5 corrosion rating (ISO 12944-6) and IP67 protection make this string suitable for permanent marine and coastal outdoor installations. Setup, addressing, and real-time status are handled via RDM over Art-Net or Martin P3.

- The Dot-1 Pro requires either the Exterior AC-Feeder (MAR-90580003) or Exterior DC-Feeder (MAR-90580004), which convert mains power to the 15VDC operating voltage and provide P3/Art-Net/sACN data injection to the string.
- What is the IP rating?
- IP67 — protected against temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter, plus IK08 impact resistance and C5 marine-grade corrosion resistance. The connector is also IP67-rated for weatherproof daisy-chaining.
- How many dots can be on one string?
- A maximum of 100 dots per string. Pixel pitch is configurable from 115mm to 2,000mm depending on the installation requirement. The 100-dot / 115mm / 2m lead configuration is the standard SKU.
