Product Overview
The Martin Audio CDD6B is an ultra-compact passive two-way loudspeaker, sold as a matched pair in black (RAL9005), designed to deliver full-frequency dynamic performance from a very small wall or ceiling-mounted enclosure. Featuring a 6.5" (165mm) LF / 1" (25mm) HF Coaxial Differential Dispersion driver, the CDD6B is suited to bars, restaurants, hotel spaces, museums, convention centres, and houses of worship where discreet speaker placement is required alongside consistent coverage. It can also function as a fill system alongside larger CDD series models, or — combined with a Martin Audio SX subwoofer — as a compact full-range music system. Product Description
The CDD6B delivers more consistent audience coverage than systems with fixed X° x Y° dispersion patterns by employing Coaxial Differential Dispersion technology that projects proportionally more output to the rear of the listening zone, counteracting SPL drop-off with distance. The CDD driver achieves point-source summation of the LF and HF sections, eliminating the off-axis frequency response artifacts at the crossover frequency that affect spatially separated driver designs. Beyond improving on standard coaxial designs, the CDD6B's driver includes a static waveguide that maintains the dispersion pattern through the high-frequency range — preventing the progressive HF beaming that limits the coverage consistency of many small format commercial speakers. The distinctive curved UPM Formi composite enclosure supports both landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) mounting orientations. The driver is user-rotatable without tools by removing the screw-free perforated steel grille, allowing field adjustment of the coverage pattern to suit room geometry. Optional Martin Audio wall and ceiling brackets provide surface-mount flexibility. The CDD6B is a full-range passive two-way system requiring a compatible system controller with appropriate limiter settings for system protection. When used with the Martin Audio DX4.0 controller or an iKON amplifier, DSP and FIR-based presets deliver optimized frequency response and limiter performance. A black finish version of the 6" model, the CDD6B can also be supplied in any RAL colour to order for specific project requirements. The white variant is available as the CDD6W. All CDD products are available at creationnetworks.net.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the CDD6B sold individually or as a pair?
- The CDD6B is sold as a matched pair. Each order includes two CDD6B loudspeakers.
- How does the static waveguide improve high-frequency coverage?
- Standard coaxial drivers progressively beam at high frequencies as the wavelengths approach the diameter of the cone. The CDD6B's static waveguide is shaped to blend with the cone geometry and maintain the designed dispersion pattern through the upper frequency range, ensuring coverage consistency to the edges of the listening area rather than narrowing toward the center as frequency rises.
- Can the CDD6B be used with a subwoofer for music program?
- Yes. Martin Audio notes that combining the CDD6B with a Martin Audio SX subwoofer produces a surprisingly capable full-range music system for its physical size, suitable for background and foreground music in smaller commercial venues.
- What controller or amplifier is required?
- The CDD6B requires use with a compatible system controller that provides appropriate limiter settings to protect the speaker. Martin Audio recommends the DX4.0 networked system controller or an iKON amplifier, which include DSP and FIR-based presets for the CDD6B.
- Can the CDD6B be mounted on a ceiling?
- Yes. Optional ceiling brackets are available from Martin Audio for use with the CDD6B. The curved enclosure also allows the speaker to sit close to ceiling surfaces when bracket-mounted. Contact Creation Networks for compatible hardware.
- What is the difference between the CDD6B and CDD6W?
- The CDD6B and CDD6W are acoustically identical. The CDD6B is finished in black (RAL9005) and the CDD6W in white (RAL9016). Both are sold as pairs and available at Creation Networks.
- What warranty applies?
- Martin Audio products carry a standard manufacturer warranty. Contact Creation Networks at creationnetworks.net for current warranty terms and support.
